Erika Stimpson is a student at Antioch University New England. She has had an interest in eating sustainable food for about four years. After a personal decision to become vegan, she hopes to create awareness in others about eating sustainable and local food.
Mariah Reed is a Keene State College student and an intern for the Monadnock Local Living Economy Project. She believes that if we start by going local, it would better our community and help our future generations. Also, she is working to increase recycling on campus.
Mitch Michaud is also a Keene State College student and
an intern for the Monadnock Local Living Economy Project. He hope to bring our focus back to local and organic food producers and distributors. In turn, such a whole foods diet will reduce disease and allow for healthier individuals and consequently healthier communities, states, and even entire countries.
Emerald Levick believes the world would be a better place if everyone would eat lots of the healthiest real, whole foods, and if those who grow these foods for their community could make a sustainable living doing so. When not working for Monadnock Farm & Community Connection or Whole Foods Market you will find her helping her parents out at Monadnock Berries, hiking or eating delicious food!
Jen Risley works at the Hannah Grimes Center and loves volunteering with initiatives that help strengthen our local economy and our community, like MFCC, Monadnock Buy Local and the Monadnock Community Market Co-op. She also edits the Yarden of Eatin’ Blog, focusing on local food systems and permaculture, and is co-chair of the Keene Young Professional Network.
Kate Kerman lives at Phoenix Farm, a small family homestead, which has, up to now, mostly raised meat for the three generation family living there, but
is planning to start raising meat for others soon. She is also the
statewide Leader for Small and Beginner Farmers of New Hampshire, a
networking and educational organization. She is a mediator by profession.
